Several pieces of French Toast dripping with syrup on a white plate.

Do you like French Toast? Second only to homemade pancakes. I especially love it when it's made with either Texas Toast or Sourdough Bread. We make ours with eggs, milk, a cap full of vanilla and roughly 1/2 to 1 tsp of cinnamon. I put cinnamon in anything that makes sense as it's a natural anti-inflammatory and God knows, I'll take all the things to keep inflammation down in my body. We then fire up the griddle on a 350 to 375 (depends on who is doing the cooking) and let it get nice and golden brown. I like mine done just before ruined (as the great Larry Bird would say). I can't think of anything worse than a soggy French Toast hitting my mouth, except maybe avocados (ewww, the texture), so I'd rather be all the way done than even a tiny bit undone. The vanilla and cinnamon give this French Toast a nice flavorful blend. I've even used orange flavor in the batter. Whatever floats your gums, go for it, It's a great way to start the day.
