Fury Friday ~ The Rose Petal

Anyone who owned a Boston Terrier likely won't even blink when I say we call Rosie, The Rose Petal. Some people worry about cows and the ozone and all the jazz, well, let me introduce you to a breed that could be put on that list. All kidding aside, Rosie's name came to be much like this: We watched a movie called We Bought a Zoo. In the movie there is a little girl who just loves animals in all their shapes and forms. Not so much bugs or insects, but most everything else. My husband looks over at me and he says, "she reminds me of you". We were struggling to find a name that fit and I said, "let's call her Rosie after that little girl" and it stuck, perfectly.

Rosie is our Fury Friday companion of the week. She is 6 years young (Born on Christmas Eve in 2019) and she is broken Boston Terrier. No not in that way, her own special way. She is about 15lbs heavier than a BT should be. She is about 5 inches longer than she should be. She has an ear that does whatever the hell it wants and a tongue that won't be left behind. It simply doesn't want to fit and conform. She has Cushing's disease, as do I so I understand when she is not up snuff. Her favorite thing in the world to do is sleep and likely the wisest to recover from her Cushing's. She likes to bark at thunder and has no fear of anything. Why would she, she thinks she is a Mastiff. She likes to eat but she is not a piggie wiggie. Her second favorite thing to do is get under the covers and take naps or go Nightnight with whomever she chooses. Every once in a while, she will get about 10 seconds of the zoomies and then nap. She loves to Sun Seek and will lay there until you tell her "turn over Rosie" or else she will burn. Silly girl.
Some of her pet names are; The Rose Petal, Madam Wiggle Bottoms, Stinky Butt and Pretty Girl (we have to work on her confidence).
She is perfect companion.
